Hello
There is a child on the streets of Delhi who has no food, no shelter, no security, no health, no education and no love! Now, just imagine that child is you. Difficult to even imagine it, right? Unfortunately, that's the life of so many children on the streets in the harsh, raw, underbelly of Delhi.
Therefore, I wanted to reach out to you and let you know that I’m fundraising for Salaam Baalak Trust. As you probably already know, this cause is very important to me as I have been involved in the child development sector since 2014 and have volunteered for three NGO’s (Nine is Mine, Door Step School & Make A Wish India). I firmly believe children are the future of our society and their development and welfare is integral to our nation’s progress.
I believe you can provide a safe and child-friendly shelter for children rescued from the streets and any other distresses! I believe you can help them have access to education, medical assistance, healthy meals, life skills, and the opportunities to realise their full potential! I believe you can make a difference in the lives of these children and trust me there is no better feeling in this world than that and that’s why I’m looking for your help!
When you make this donation, you’ll be able to help a kid in Delhi have new hope for a healthy life.

Thanking You

A big thank you to all those who have donated on this page.
I am a 27 years old aspiring entrepreneur, avid book reader, sports enthusiast and a member of Adidas Runners Delhi. I hold a degree in Bachelors of Business Administration(Marketing Management &. Entrepreneurship) from Symbiosis Centre For Management Studies, Pune and a Post Graduate Diploma in Fashion Styling & Image Design from Pearl Academy, Delhi.
I have been involved in the children's development sector since April 2014 when I first volunteered for the NINEISMINE campaign, a campaign of and for the children convened by PRATYeK for the Wada Na Todo Abhiyan for a month in New Delhi. I was involved in various administrative tasks such as making phone calls to schools and embassies to invite them for the various programmes to be held in the near future. I designed presentations on the work of the campaign, managed the social media and promoted the campaign on various social media platforms. In the last days of my volunteering I presented on 'Poverty and Child Rights' in various schools of New Delhi.
Then in the month of December in the same year, I got an opportunity to volunteer for Door Step Schools in Pune where I conducted surveys for their campaign 'Every Child Counts' in order to locate the children who were not enrolled in schools. I also helped the organisation with the enrolment of these children in the nearby schools.
In the July of 2017, I started volunteering with Make A Wish India as Wish Granter & Wish Organiser. My major role was to visit a designated hospital once or twice a week and interact with children with a life-threatening medical condition & identify their innermost wish. At Wish Granting events my role was to help the team plan, organize, and successfully implement the wish-granting event.
Having worked with children so closely in the volunteering capacity, I understand how important children are to our society and why they need to be protected. Therefore, this time I have decided to help them in a different capacity i.e as a Fundraiser. I am raising funds for Salaam Balaak Trust and I would be grateful if you could contribute to this fundraiser and help the trust fulfil their mission of providing a sensitive and caring environment for street and working children, and those in difficult circumstances.
