I have had the privilege of working with the Kamalini Vocational Training Centre, a project of EDI, for a couple of years. The organisation values each of its students and its staff to such a remarkable extent! The students grow not just in skills but also in a sense of self-worth, which gives them courage to face the challenges in their lives.

Educational & Development Initiatives (EDI) fosters ideals of service, leadership, advancement of learning, and relief for the poor. The principal project of EDI is the Kamalini Vocational Training centre for women on Sohna Road in Haryana, where needy women gain livelihood skills to support themselves and their families.

ABOUT ME

Hello!
I am Nikita and I live in New Delhi :)
I work for a fashion design label as a profession. I also do a few volunteering activities like teaching, graphic designing, tailoring etc.
I am running for my all-time favorite NGO, Kamalini Vocational Training centre, with which I had the privilege of working for a couple of years. Kamalini seeks to train women in specific vocational skills like Garment construction and Design, Beauty, IT and Hospitality. It works towards building the confidence and self esteem of the women they train not just by skill development but also by providing them with an warm environment that transpires trust and helps them to face their problems with courage.
